Tyler Stanley, APRN, CPNP
When I was a child, I wanted to become a kindergarten teacher, and maybe a coach. Around ten years of age I remember suffering from childhood anxiety and having a great pediatrician that helped me through it. I started learning about the disease processes that had once caused anxiety. Biology and the human body became areas of interest that followed me into my college career and it was clear by then that I wanted to not only be a healthcare provider but more importantly a teacher. I take great pride in encouraging my patients, even at a young age, to be responsible for their own health. I enjoy teaching and motivating children and adolescents to take care of their whole being, mind, body, and soul. Nutrition, exercise, sleep hygiene, showing kindness and gratitude, and outdoor time daily are the hallmarks of my pediatric care philosophy.
I graduated from Elon University with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology in 2002. I continued my education earning a Masters of Science in Nursing from Vanderbilt University in 2004. I also earned a Reiki certification in 2020. I have worked in primary care pediatrics for my entire 20 year career thus far. I am excited and honored to have joined Thrive Center Center for Health and to provide care from a more holistic standpoint. I have special interests in mental health management (specifically Depression, Anxiety, and ADHD) & nutrition and exercise sciences.
When I’m not working, I enjoy family time, playing sports with my kids, coaching, camping, hiking, cooking, and exercising. I’m an avid Detroit Lions fan (born in Michigan) and very happy they are finally winning again…for now!
